Relyf is an educational health brand that focuses on the benefits of premium CBD and hemp-derived products and services. They recently won two awards at the world’s CBD wholesale Award winners 2019 in Barcelona which recognises the very best in the industry that promotes best practice and ethical trading. The Spanish conference is a bespoke event that awards the best of the best. All of their products are third-party tested twice for quality and transparency.
The Extract spoke to CJ Britton, Marketing Director of Relyf and asked him some questions about their recent wins, success, working with intent and DNA kits.

Can you tell me about both products?
R: Absolutely, The Dreamer bar from Chocolata and Relyf is made with 100% single origin white chocolate from Ecuador. It is infused with essential oil of lavender, cardamom, dried rose petals, and 72mg of Relyf CBD oil. Made in small batches at Chocolatá and hand wrapped. It is unlike any other chocolate most people have experienced.
Our Premium Relyf CBD Tinctures are made with our 99+% CBD and MCT oil in a concentration of 500mg with less than 0.2% THC. Safe, affordable, easy to use and legal, each hemp-derived CBD tincture contains 30 servings and can be taken day or night, sublingually. All products are double lab-tested by third-party labs for transparency and safety.
The E: Why do you place great importance on educating the user and the industry alike?
R: Education isn’t just a part of what we do, it’s who we are. Right now our industry has an abundance of products and an absence of knowledge. Cannabis, and CBD specifically, is proven to hold a host of medicinal benefits.
We know this but without proper education, a consumer can have the wrong expectations and these wrong expectations can lead to a less-than-optimal experience for the consumer to miss out on an opportunity to experience relief. By focusing on education within the industry and with consumers, we’re trying to help set proper expectations and slowly remove the stigma of plant-based healing.
The E: What is the most exciting thing about the CBD industry?
R: While the business side of CBD is incredibly exciting, nothing gets us more enthusiastic than the daily influx of stories and anecdotal testimonials from people who use our products and experience true change in their lives.
Running a profitable business is one thing but you can do that in any industry. In CBD you get to see your customer’s quality of life significantly increase. It is exciting but also humbling because we’re affecting real people with our products and education. So we take everything we do incredibly serious because we know the consumer is counting on us.
The E: How do you stand out from the competition?
R: It’s actually pretty simple. We’re an educational health brand…who happens to produce the highest quality CBD in the world. Instead of trying to sell consumers a bottle of product, high-fiving and going our merry way, we take time to sit down, talk through our process, educate our retailers on CBD and holistic health and see if they’re a good fit for us.
We do not sell our product to anyone who wants to carry it. We are intentional and vet every inquiry we receive and end up only working with about 65% of the people who ask to carry our product. For us it’s not about being in every place, we want to be in the right place with the right people.
The E: What are you working on at the minute? anything breakthrough?
R: The biggest news that you’ll see coming out of Relyf in the next 30-45 days is the launch of our Relyf DNA Kits. These kits are going to completely change how our industry recommends dosing and CBD administration.
No longer do we have to give the “slow and grow” advice when taking CBD, now we will know exactly what each individual user needs, how to take CBD and how often. Our kits are pretty straightforward, you purchase a kit, answer a short questionnaire, spit into a tube and mail it off to our lab.
Our lab will sequence over 40 genes through our patent-pending process and provide a custom CBD solution that perfectly fits an individual's genetic makeup and needs. These results will come in a PDF via email but consumers will also receive a postcard that they can take to a doctor or pharmacy and pick up their needed CBD dosage.
The E: Where do you see the future of the industry going?
R: As we await further guidelines to emerge in the coming months, there will be a market correction in the CBD industry. Companies who make outlandish claims and are flippant about their customers’ health will be removed from the market.
The CBD consumer will become more educated and will see what to look for when purchasing their products. Companies who are not transparent with their ingredients or processes will be rejected by the public and will fade away. We will continually focus on being in compliance while pushing the education side of our industry forward.
At Relyf’s core is educating and ultimately changing the psyche of the CBD-curious towards healthy living with empowered choices – all the while producing the highest level CBD product which is the crux of their success. High quality – transparency – education – healthy living – the kernel to their success. Here’s to many more wins. Although I don’t think somehow that is their motivation.
