In conversation: with professor Mike Barnes

Prof Mike Barnes, a neurologist and rehabilitation physician in the UK, is the subject of this week’s interview with our roving reporter for The Extract, Tim Henley.

In a wide-ranging conversation, Professor Barnes talks about the unsuitability of double-blind trials on medicinal cannabis, the encouraging knowledge bound to emerge from Canada, the potential for the UK to be a leading light in research on medicinal cannabis and much more.

The interview, which took place at the Cannabis Europa Conference in London also featured an interesting response by Professor Barnes to an intriguing thought experiment question –

‘What would the world be like today had alcohol, and not cannabis, been prohibited?’

Professor Mike Barnes will be speaking in July at Europe CBD Expo at London's ExCeL, a 2-day hybrid business and consumer event. The Extract is a media partner at the event, which will showcase the leading international brands, senior-level insights and global scientific research across all sectors of the CBD, Cannabinoids and Medicinal Cannabis industry.
