Hemp & CBD Expo is returning to Birmingham

Hemp-And-CBD-Expo

Six months after their hugely successful inaugural event, the Hemp & CBD Expo is making a triumphant return to the Birmingham NEC this September, from Saturday 14th to Sunday 15th.

Over 150 exhibitors from every link in the CBD supply chain will be descending on Birmingham’s NEC to showcase their own new innovations, and due to increased demand from the success of the March event, the Hemp & CBD Expo will now take place in the roomier Hall 17. The Extract is very excited to announce that we will be attending again and this time as a media partner. We hope we get the chance to meet some of you there!

Attendees will also have the chance to hear from special guest speakers like well known medical expert Dr. Christian Jessen from the multi-award-winning television series Embarrassing Bodies, as well as Dan Herer, son of the famous hemp activist Jack Herer. Cannabis activist and author Callie Blackwell will also feature, best known for her 2016 book “The Boy in 7 Billion” about her experience treating her son Deryn with cannabis during his battle with leukemia. Writing in the most recent issue of Hemp and CBD Magazine, organizers stated that it is this mix of talent that helped to make the event so successful in the first place.

“We like to think of our Expo as a bringing together of an industry. There are big players, and smaller family-run operations, whole plant advocates and those only just learning about CBD. As organisers we constantly find ourselves trying to balance out our exhibitors and our program to cater to all of the niche interests in such a vast, diverse sector”

For Business Pro ticket holders, there will be in-depth discussions and seminars on topics specific to the sector of running a CBD and cannabis business.

Hemp and CBD Awards Ceremony

Plans for the expo have received an extensive upgrade from the event in March, with a glamorous Hemp & CBD Awards evening and three-course meal for exhibitors and speakers. The awards ceremony and after-party will be sponsored by DUSHEY.CO.  While this black-tie event is limited to exhibitors, a limited amount of spaces will be available for B2B ticket holders.

To compete for the chance at winning one of the prestigious Hemp & CBD Awards, exhibitors were allowed to submit up to one product per category, and enter into three categories overall – including Best CBD Oil, Best Cosmetic, Best Edible, Best Extract, and Best Inhalable.

For the first round of judging, all products entered into the awards will be tested at Eurofins, a third party CBD testing facility. The results of the testing will be instrumental in determining the winners of the Hemp & CBD Awards, along with factors like taste, product labelling, and documentation provided by companies.
