UK’s Hemp movement paves way for greener, healthier planet

‘Seed the Future' is a hemp movement which will be taking place across the nation this Sunday.

A collection of demonstrations to call on the government in the UK to ease restrictions on the cultivation of hemp.

This hemp movement will highlight the solutions hemp can provide to the impending recession following the COVID-19 pandemic.

The events will include presentations, a CBD cocktail bar and the very first Hemp market.

The hemp rebellion begins at noon and continues until 5 pm to display the reasoning behind why hemp is the best possible solution for the UK.

On the 19th of July, protests will occur at the following venues at 12 pm:

  • Exeter: Cathedral Green
  • Bristol: College Green
  • London: New Scotland Yard
  • Brighton: Old Steine Gardens
  • Birmingham: Cannon Hill Park
  • Newcastle: Leazes Park
  • Edinburgh: Holyrood Park
  • Belfast: City Hall
  • Cardiff: Cathays Park

Keep Social Distancing

The Extract would like to reiterate the importance of respecting social distancing during these events.

Stakeholders in the CBD industry have been battling with barriers in the hemp industry. Following the FSA's decision to insist on CBD companies applying for Novel Foods licenses.

These licenses will cost hundreds of thousands of pounds, risking minor players in the UK CBD market to lose their business.
