Hemp and CBD Expo award winners

Over 150 exhibitors descended upon Birmingham’s Hemp and CBD Expo this month to showcase the newest innovations in the CBD and hemp sphere. Among the exhibitors, a lucky few went on to be recognized in the prestigious Hemp and CBD Magazine Awards.

With a diverse range of awards from Best Edible to Best Paraphernalia, the clear heavy hitters of the night included Green Stem, LITT by IVG and Lit Element who ranked in several categories. Check out all the winners of the Birmingham Hemp and CBD Expo events  awards below.

Best Edible CBD

3rd Herbl – Sweet Chilli Pepper and Tomato Chutney
2nd Almighty Foods – Raw CBD Chocolate
1st CBD FX – Hemp Gummies

CBD_Edibles

The Best Edible category saw a diverse range of CBD-infused products, from classic gummy bears to slightly more health-conscious products. Herbl’s vegan sweet chilli and tomato chutney infused with 80 mg of CBD placed in third, while the raw CBD chocolate from Almighty Foods ranked in second place. Ultimately, CBD FX’s broad-spectrum CBD gummies came out on top, thanks to their diverse range of CBD gummies infused with lemon, berry, turmeric and spirulina.

Best CBD Oil

3rd LITT (IVG) – Hemp CBD Tincture
2nd Natra – CBD Oil Citrus Flavour
1st Green Stem – CBD Oral Drops Black Cherry

UK brand Green Stem’s delectable black cherry flavoured CBD drops took first place in the Best CBD Oil category, which are available in 300 mg to 2000 mg concentrations. Natra ranked in second place for their citrus flavour CBD oil, and LITT by IVG came in third for their hemp CBD tincture.

Best Cosmetic

3rd Natra – Rescue Balm

1st Doctors Greens – CBD Balm

CBD-Balm

As the CBD cosmetics industry continues to grow, this popularity was reflected in a category that had not one, but two second-place awards. Natra’s Rescue Balm infused with lavender and eucalyptus oil ranked in third place, while BNatural’s organic rosehip and jojoba facial oil tied with the brightening CBD and charcoal face mask from CBD Fx. The multi-use CBD balm from Doctors Greens came out on top.

Best Inhaleable

3rd Green Stem – CBD Vaping Liquid Wild Berry
2nd LITT (IVG) – CBD Vape Juice Bubble Gum
1st Doctor Vape – Vape Juice Strawberry

The Best Inhaleable’s category proved that UK vapers still have a major sweet tooth when it comes to choosing vaping liquids. Doctor Vape’s strawberry flavoured CBD vape juice took home first place, closely followed by the IVG bubble gum CBD-infused vape juice. Green Stem’s Wild Berry CBD vape juice took 3rd place.

Best Extract

3rd Advanced Biotech – Raw Hemp Extract Hemp Paste
2nd British Cannabis – 75% CBD Distillate
1st LVWell CBD – Pure CBD Extract Pure Broad Spectrum

The Best Extract category featured one of the more diverse selections of any product category, showing the sheer breadth of possibility within the UK CBD and hemp sphere. Using a “bespoke, organic alcohol extraction method”, Advanced Biotech engineered their innovative, full-spectrum raw CBD extract hemp paste which landed in third place. British Cannabis’ ultra-potent 75% CBD Distillate came in second, while LVWell’s broad-spectrum CBD extract nabbed first place.

CBD Vape Oil

Best Packaging

3rd LITT (IVG) hemp CBD additive
2nd Green Stem – Gift Boxes
1st MRP – hemp packaging solutions

The Best Packaging prize was dominated by winners from several other categories, showcasing the companies that offer customers a truly unique buying experience. LITT by IVG came in third place for their hemp CBD additive packaging, while Green Stem ranked in second place for their deluxe gift boxes. Family-owned MRP from Nottingham took home first place for their hemp packaging solutions.

Best Seedbank

3rd Dinafem
2nd BSB Genetics
1st Attitude

In the Best Seedbank category, veteran company Dinafem ranked in third place for their range of indica and sativa seeds. Bristol producers BSB Genetics ranked in second place, while cannabis seed superstore Attitude Seedbank rightfully grabbed first place for their extensive range of brands from all over the world.

Innovation

3rd Lit Element – Tins
2nd Pura Vida – Trimming Machine
1st Urban Extracts – Freeze Dryer

As you can guess, the ‘Innovation’ category featured some of the most exciting developments in hemp technology to land on the market. Lit Element’s Tins ranked in third place, while Pura Vida’s herbal trimming machine grabbed second place. Urban Extract’s outstanding freeze dryer was awarded first place, as the ultimate kitchen gadget for home growers and produce lovers alike.

Best Paraphernalia

3rd Lit Element – Pods
2nd Zaam – Bongs
1st Lookah – The Seahorse

Paraphernalia

The Seahorse dab pen from Lookah was awarded first place in the Best Paraphernalia category, proving that concentrates are still one of the most popular vaping materials on the UK market. Zaam ranked in second place for their extensive range of bongs and water pipes, while Lit Element came in third for their vaping pods.

As major players across all categories, LITT by IVG, CBD Fx and Lit Element all ranked in the Best Branding Category, with Lit Element grabbing the top spot.

Best Stand

3rd Marry Jane
2nd GenCanna
1st Lit Element

For the Best Stand category, Lit Element grabbed yet another first place, totalling three awards in total. GenCanna followed up in second place, while Swiss CBD producers Marry Jane ranked in third.
